This privacy policy describes how Stake Denmark A/S (“Stake Denmark”), as the data controller, collects and processes your personal data when you use the website Stake.dk or our app, participate in our competitions and market research, or contact Stake Denmark’s customer service.
Collection of Your Personal Data
We collect the following information about you when relevant to your customer relationship with Stake Denmark:
Contact and identity information (name, address, email, phone number, civil registration number, information about MitID, passport, driver’s licence, health insurance card, birth certificate, bank statements, utility bills).
Transactions and gaming history (login information, frequency of play, stakes, winnings, payment method details, deposits and withdrawals, bonuses, games played, temporary or permanent self-exclusion, deposit limits and other gaming limits set by you, campaigns and services you have participated in).
Your correspondence with customer service (emails and/or chat conversations regarding any case you have registered with our customer service).
Information about your device (IP address, operating system, and MAC address).
Stake Denmark primarily collects this information directly from you in connection with the creation and administration of your gaming account, compliance with our legal obligations under gaming legislation and anti–money laundering legislation, and our legitimate interest in offering a secure and well-functioning platform.
We only process personal data based on consent where relevant, e.g. when sending marketing materials or using non-essential cookies.
In addition, Stake Denmark may obtain information from:
The national register (CPR register)
Publicly available data on social media, if your profile is public
Third parties such as payment providers or suppliers
Companies under common control with Stake Denmark
Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data
We collect and process your personal data for the purposes listed below. We may also collect and process your personal data for other purposes if permitted or required by law, including gaming legislation and anti–money laundering legislation:
Creation and administration of your gaming account
Legal basis: performance of the agreement for creating your gaming account, GDPR Article 6(1)(b), and Stake Denmark’s legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f), including administering your account, handling your status in loyalty programmes within the Stake Denmark group, processing your transactions, and contacting you regarding the use of your account.
Identity verification and customer due diligence
Legal basis: Stake Denmark’s legal obligations, GDPR Article 6(1)(c). For processing your civil registration number, the legal basis is either legal obligation or your prior consent under the Danish Data Protection Act § 11(2)(1) and § 11(2)(2).
Compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements
Legal basis: Stake Denmark’s legal obligations, GDPR Article 6(1)(c).
Receiving marketing materials and participating in campaigns
Legal basis: your prior consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a), and the Danish Marketing Practices Act § 10(1).
Operation, maintenance and security, including fraud and abuse prevention
Legal basis: Stake Denmark’s legitimate interest in ensuring operational stability and security, and preventing misuse, GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
Analytical purposes, app optimization, and marketing measurement
Legal Basis: Stake Denmark’s legitimate interest in optimizing our app, understanding user behavior, and measuring the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, pursuant to GDPR Article 6(1)(f), as well as consent to the extent required under applicable rules on access to end-users' terminal equipment (the Danish Cookie Executive Order).
Customer service and communication
Legal basis: Stake Denmark’s legitimate interest in providing customer support and documenting correspondence, GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
Consent to Stake Denmark’s Marketing Activities
By signing up for newsletters and other marketing materials, you consent to receiving marketing from Stake Denmark via email, SMS, external media and social platforms, and you allow Stake Denmark to tailor marketing to you based on your preferences and your use of Stake.dk.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing on Stake.dk. After withdrawal, you will no longer receive campaign offers or be able to participate in competitions through these channels. Withdrawal does not affect the legality of prior processing carried out based on your consent.
Disclosure of Your Information
Stake Denmark may disclose your personal data to public authorities, including the Danish Gambling Authority, the Danish Tax Agency, and the police, as well as Danish payment operators cooperating with Stake Denmark, and certain other partners inside and outside the EU. Your personal data may also be shared with other companies within the Stake Denmark group.
Your data will only be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA if those countries ensure an adequate level of protection, or based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or another valid transfer mechanism.
Storage of Your Information
Stake Denmark stores your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
If you no longer wish to be a customer of Stake Denmark, you will be blocked in our system and will no longer receive communication or marketing from us. At the same time, we stop processing your personal data for marketing purposes. However, Stake Denmark is required to store your personal data after the termination of the customer relationship in accordance with gaming and anti–money laundering legislation.
Personal data collected in connection with social media campaigns will be stored until the campaign has ended.
Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures to ensure a sufficient level of security when processing personal data on Stake.dk, to safeguard the quality and integrity of your personal data as best as possible.

Note that certain personal data must be stored for 5 years after the customer relationship ends under gaming legislation.
In certain circumstances, you have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to request that we transfer your data to another data controller.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change this privacy policy without notice due to legislative changes, new technical options and solutions, or to improve our platform. The current version will always be available on Stake.dk.
