1. Deposit Limits

Upon registration, a player must set a deposit limit before gambling can begin. A player must be able to choose a daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limit. A deposit limit allows you to set a maximum amount of money you are willing to deposit into your account within a specific period of time, namely;

  • Calendar Day (00:00 - 23:59)

  • Calendar Week (Monday 00:00 - Sunday 23:59)

  • Calendar Month (First day of the month to the last day of the month)

Setting or reducing a deposit limit takes effect immediately. If you wish to increase your deposit limit, it is subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period.

How to Set Your Deposit Limits:

  1. From your player account, navigate to the "Responsible Gambling" tab in the menu.

  2. Under the “Deposit Limits” section, you can choose the type, amount, and time period of your limit.

  3. After completing all steps, click "Save" to confirm your selections.

You can request to modify your deposit limits at any time through the account menu. Increases require a 24-hour cooling off period, while decreases are applied immediately.

If you are unable to change your deposit limits due to technical or other issues, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance.

2. Loss Limits

At Stake, you are able to limit the amount of money you can lose by setting a loss limit. A loss limit allows a player to set a maximum amount of money they are willing to lose within a specific period:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Setting or reducing a loss limit is applied immediately. If you wish to increase your loss limit, the increase is subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period.

3. Wager Limits

At Stake, you are able to limit the amount of money you can wager by setting a wager limit. A wager limit allows a player to set a maximum amount of money they are willing to wager within a specific period:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Setting or reducing a wager limit is applied immediately. If you wish to increase your wager limit, the increase is subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period.

How to Set Your Limits:

  2. Under the “Gambling Limits” section, you can choose the type, amount, and time period of your limit.

  3. After completing all steps, click "Save" to confirm your selections.

4. Self-Exclusion

If you feel at risk of developing gambling problems or believe you may already be dependent on the platform, consider using the self-exclusion tool. By doing so, you will suspend all gambling activities on Stake. During this period, you will not be able to deposit or wager.

The self-exclusion tool restricts access to your account for a defined time, and your account will not reopen automatically after the period ends. Stake offers the following self-exclusion durations:

  • 24 hours

  • 30 days

  • 90 days

  • 180 days

  • Permanent

What Happens When You Self-Exclude?

During your self-exclusion period, access to your account will be blocked. After the selected time ends, your account will reopen automatically.If you opted for a permanent exclusion, your account will remain closed indefinitely for a minimum period of at least 1 year.

How to Apply Self-Exclusion

  1. From your player account, go to the "Responsible Gaming" tab.

  2. Under the “Self-Exclusion” section, select the desired exclusion period.

  3. After completing all steps, click "Save" to apply these options to your account.

If you cannot process your self-exclusion due to technical or other issues, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance.

In the event of a permanent self-exclusion, your account will be self-excluded for a period of 1 year, after which you are able to register a new account. Stake reserves the right to extend a permanent self-exclusion beyond the 1 year duration, subject to further checks related to your account should it be deemed necessary.

During a Self-Exclusion:

  • You are prohibited from creating new accounts on Stake or attempting to bypass the system (e.g., by altering your personal details). Stake will take all possible steps to detect accounts held in your name.

  • Once self-excluded, your account will be suspended, and you will not receive marketing or promotional materials.

For your protection, Stake recommends self-exclusion from other gambling platforms where you have active accounts.

5. ROFUS - Register Over Frivilligt Udelukkede Spillere

ROFUS is the Danish Gambling Authority’s (Spillemyndigheden) register of self-excluded persons. If you wish to self-exclude temporarily or permanently from gambling in Denmark, you can register yourself voluntarily with ROFUS using MitID.

If you are registered with ROFUS, you are excluded from gambling at online casinos and on online betting with gambling operators with a Danish gambling licence, and cannot access land-based casinos in Denmark.

ROFUS makes the following durations available:

  • 24 hours

  • 1 month

  • 3 months

  • 6 months

  • Permanent

It is not possible to have an exclusion removed before the duration has expired and it is not possible to undo a registration.

In the event of a permanent self-exclusion, removing the exclusion is not possible before 1 year and 7 days after the time of registration.

An individual who has signed up for permanent exclusion may, at the earliest of one year after the date of registration, request the Danish Gambling Authority to have the exclusion removed. This means that it is not possible to undo a permanent exclusion until a year, as a minimum, has passed. The player must confirm the request 7 days after the request is made to complete the removal of the exclusion. If the player has not confirmed the request to have the exclusion removed within 30 days, the request will be nullified.

6. StopSpillet

What is StopSpillet?

StopSpillet is the Danish Gambling Authority's helpline on gambling addiction. StopSpillet is for anyone who wants advice on problem gambling and counselling about compulsive gambling. The counselling is performed by professional and specially trained advisers. All conversations with StopSpillet are confidential, and the Danish Gambling Authority does not disclose information from the conversations to others.

7. Blocking Software

8. Protection of Minors

Stake carries out age verification checks on all customers and requests for proof of age in the form of documentation where checks prove insufficient.

If it is discovered that a person under the age of 18 is playing at Stake, the account will be closed and all winnings will be forfeited.
