What is Counter-Strike 2?
Counter-Strike is a first-person shooter game where two teams fight: terrorists and counter-terrorists. They compete on different maps.
In competitive matches, terrorists try to plant a bomb at one of two bomb sites. Counter-terrorists try to stop them. A team can win by killing all enemy players. Counter-terrorists can also win by defusing the bomb or stopping it from being planted in time.
Players earn money during the game to buy weapons, armor and equipment.
Counter-Strike started as a modification for the game Half-Life. The company Valve hired the creators and released the full game in 2000. The game has changed a lot over time. Version 1.6 came out in 2003. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released in 2012. The newest game, Counter-Strike 2, came out in 2023.
